Camden Hills State Park was largely constructed between 1936 and 1941 by hundreds of young men enrolled in the Civilian Conservation Corps. For their efforts, the “CCC boys” received housing in spartan barracks, three meals a day, and $25 per month ($300/year). They were allowed to keep $5 of their monthly earnings and $20 was sent to their families to help them through the depths of the Great Depression.
Our levels of Business Partner participation memorialize those hard-working souls who built the foundation of this park. Your participation builds upon their labors:
Small Business Partner (2 CCC's): $600
Sustaining Partner: $1,200
Leadership Partner: $5,000
Business Partners will be recognized on the website and will be included in all Friends communications.
The Friends of Camden Hills State Park has applied to the IRS for designation as a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization. Once approved, all donations retroactive to May 2026 shall be tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
